Hello Dolphins,

It's almost time for our first OFFICIAL meet this Monday against the Ashford Whales!

Please read below everything you need to know for our first meet.

WHEN TO ARRIVE & SWIMMER CHECK-IN INFORMATION:

Swimmers must be checked in at their tents by 2:00 p.m. Remember, it takes time to park, walk to your tent and get checked-in so please allow enough time to do so.

PLEASE do not be late! We are working on a very tight schedule this meet. Anyone that has not arrived by 2 p.m. or has not contacted me to let me know of a delay will be removed from their relay events. Please check on your fellow swimmers and spread the word – BE ON TIME!

The meet will start promptly at 3:00 p.m.

POOL LOCATION:

Pool Location: Ashford Pool – 12550 Westella Drive

From Briarhills, go east on Briar Forest to Dairy Ashford. Turn RIGHT on Dairy Ashford and continue down about .3 miles to Westella Drive. Turn LEFT on Westella Drive and the pool will be on your LEFT. Please note: Apple maps may direct you to turn right on Westella. This is not correct. You will need to turn LEFT.

PARKING INFORMATION:

Parking in the main lot is reserved parking only. You will need to find parking on the street. Please do not park in "no parking" zones. There will be a drop off zone if you would like to drop off your swimmer, chairs, bags, etc. closer to the entrance before finding parking.

Please obey no parking signs and do not block residential driveways.

TEAM SUIT:

Wear your team suit and team t-shirt to the meet! If you have not picked up your team suit, you may pick it up at the Briarhills Clubhouse at noon on Monday.

OTHER ITEMS TO BRING TO MEET:

* goggles (+ extra pair in case yours break)

* Dolphins swim cap

* towels (at least one to dry off & one to sit on)

* plenty of water - it will be SUPER hot!

* cash for concessions

* folding chairs for you and your swimmer

* Please label all your swim gear and belongings!

* Write your name inside your team t-shirt!

* Keep your items in a bag!

HEAT SHEETS:

Unofficial heat sheets will be pushed out to meet participants via Swimtopia app on Sunday evening.

RIBBONS:

The first 6 places will be awarded a ribbon. Swimmers that place 7^th or higher overall will not receive a ribbon. Ribbons may be given when you check out your swimmer if they are ready. If they are not ready, ribbons will be given to your swimmer at their next practice.

PARENT VOLUNTEER ASSIGNMENTS:

All families should have signed up for a volunteer position. If you did not sign up and are available to help, please sign up via the Swimtopia app.

LOOKING AHEAD:

Monday – Meet Day! Remember, no practices on meet days.

Tuesday - Picture Day! Come to the pool for pictures but no practice afterwards.

Wednesday through Friday - Regular morning practices

Saturday – Relay Meet at 9 a.m. at Spring Branch Natatorium. This is an invitational meet meaning only select swimmers will be invited to attend. More info coming first part of next week.
