Its a wrap y'all!
Dear Dolphins,
What an amazing season we had! Despite many challenges such as swimming after a year off (thanks COVID), joining a brand new league, hosting 3 swim meets for the first time in ages and juggling a pretty compact schedule (thanks HISD), we made it! We did it! We are done! Thank you again, everyone, for pitching in and helping every step of the way. I hope you all had lots of fun and plan to return again next summer.
I would like to take this time to recognize our 2021 Male and Female Swimmers of the Year: Drew Bemis and Emma Mclean. Not only are Drew and Emma amazing swimmers, but they are hard working, courteous, positive, kind, and helpful to others. They are true team players and we are so proud of the way they led by example this year. Way to go Drew and Emma! Keep up the good work! You are the definition of what it means to be DOLPHIN of the Year!
If you were at the awards party on Monday, you probably saw a slideshow of photos playing on the TV. Dave Snook (Sadie and Ben's Dad) captured some really amazing shots of our swimmers throughout the season and asked me to share his dropbox file with you all. It has the photos he took as well as some from Haitao Gu (Olivia and Amelia's Dad). To view and download the images of your swimmer, please click this link: https://www.dropbox.com/
Thank you Dave and Haitao for these cherished treasures and memories! We very much appreciate your time and talent. What a perfect gift to all of us! Thank you!
Finally, if you still need to pick up your pictures or trophies, please come by the Briarhills Pool Tuesday-Sunday from 10:30 a.m - 8:00 p.m. and ask the lifeguard on duty for your items. There will be a box on the shelves in the guard room marked "swim team" in case you encounter a guard who is seemingly unaware.
That's all folks! It's a wrap. Enjoy the rest of your summer. Keep swimming and look for a registration email from me around the end of March of 2022!
Go Dolphins!
