Prelims Declaration
Dear Dolphins,
It is now time to declare your swimmer’s attendance for the Prelims & Champs meets. Prelims meet is a qualifying meet for Champs. Prelims and Champs operate differently from our dual meets. Please read the information below before declaring your attendance.
MEET LOCATION:
Both Prelims and Champs will be held at the South Briar Pool at 1708 Crystal Hills Dr., Houston, TX 77077
MEET TIMES:
PRELIMS IS ON FRIDAY, JUNE 21st
10 & under will need to arrive by 7 a.m. and will finish approximately at noon.
11 and up will need to arrive by 1 p.m. and will finish approximately at 6 p.m.
CHAMPS IS ON SATURDAY, JUNE 22nd. Swimmers that qualify will need to arrive by 8 a.m. and will finish approximately at 1 p.m.
DECLARING ATTENDANCE:
On our website under the Calendar tab, please click the green “Next” button at the bottom of the page and find the “Champs: Prelims Event” on Friday, June 25th. Next, click the green “Meet Entry" button.
If you are able to attend BOTH Friday AND Saturday, please declare “ATTENDING”. If your swimmer can come Friday but NOT Saturday or vice versa, please declare as “NOT ATTENDING”. Friday’s meet is a qualifying meet for Saturday so if you can’t come Saturday, there is no point attending on Friday.
Please declare your attendance for PRELIMS by Tuesday, June 22nd at NOON.
**VERY IMPORTANT** Declaring as “ATTENDING” does not mean your swimmer will automatically swim at the meet on Friday. Swimmers will receive a phone call from the coaches by 8 p.m. on Wednesday if they have made it to Prelims on Friday.

PARENT VOLUNTEER JOBS:
We will need parent volunteers at both prelims and champs. Once we determine, which swimmers are attending these meets, we will reach out to the attending swimmers’ parents with volunteer job assignments. Please note: you may be assigned a different job that your previous assignment at dual meets. Please be flexible and willing to help when and where as needed.
I hope all of this information makes sense. For now, please just review the schedule and declare whether or not your swimmer can attend Friday AND Saturday IF they qualify. Please let me know if you have any questions.
